Notice how evenly distributed India's population is... 1.1 billion? I believe.
Contrast that with Argentina, where there are only 40 million people.
India is 3.2 million square kms, Argentina is 2.8 million.
You can see high density in and around Buenos Aires and Rosario, but the rest of the country seems virtually empty, especially the southern Patagonia region.
Australia is twice the size of India, but has a population density of 2.4 persons per square km versus India's, i.e. 130 times lower than India's!
